Apply when designing types, reviewing a function signature, or writing code in any statically-typed language. Make illegal states unrepresentable, brand semantic primitives, parse external data at boundaries, refuse to lie to the compiler, exhaust variants, derive from authoritat
Reconstruct your recent working context from your own chat history, live state, and the shared record (user reports, prior fixes, incidents), then hand back a tight current-state brief. Use for 'recall my work on X', 'catch me up', 'what have I been working on', 'where did I leav
Configure which models pstack uses per role. Detects available models and writes the current runtime's override sheet. Use for /setup-pstack, "configure pstack models", changing pstack's model choices, or turning the SessionStart hook on or off.
Keep a reviewable decision trail for long-running or unattended work: a TSV log with one row per decision (what, why, evidence, result). Local by default; commit it when a reviewer needs the trail to trust the result. Use for /show-me-your-work, autonomous or multi-phase runs, or
Fan out N parallel workers, drain them, and return one report. Use for /swarm, 'swarm this', or parallel coverage, races, gauntlets, and exploration.
Use only when the user explicitly asks for TDD, a failing test, or a regression test, OR when the bug has an obvious cheap local test target. Skip when the test path is unclear, expensive, integration-heavy, or not requested.
Explain a body of work plainly so a person actually understands it. Runs the `how` and `why` skills and weaves what they find into one clear explanation. Use for 'teach me this', 'help me really understand X', 'explain this change or subsystem to me'.
Layered technical-writing standard: Diátaxis structure, Google developer style sentences, STE instruction rules, Global English syntax. Use for /technical-writing or when writing or reviewing docs, RFCs, readmes, PR descriptions, or commit messages.
Run an extremely strict maintainability review for abstraction quality, giant files, and spaghetti-condition growth. Use for a thermo-nuclear code quality review, thermonuclear review, deep code quality audit, or especially harsh maintainability review.
TypeScript best practices. Use when reading or editing any .ts or .tsx file.
Cut AI tells from any writing. Must always apply.
Summarize authored commits over a user-specified time period into a concise update
Use for 'why does X work this way', 'why we picked Y', design rationale, regressions, postmortems, or data-backed thresholds. Discovers available MCPs and queries each evidence category (source control, issue tracker, long-form docs, real-time chat, infrastructure observability,
Anti-AI detection pass for any written text. Hard rules that strip the statistical fingerprints AI writing leaves behind — em-dash density, contrastive formula ("not X, it's Y"), nuclear phrases, copula inflation, sycophantic filler, uniform contractions, colon overuse, register
Channel-agnostic writer for any piece of content that doesn't yet belong to a specific channel. Use when you have something to say but don't know where it goes — could become a blog post, X thread, newsletter section, web copy, journal entry, or just stay as a plain doc. Runs the
Channel-master writer for long-form blog posts. Owns the SHAPE of a post — beat structure, title/preview/slug commitments, per-post container layout, per-site voice anchor discovery — and delegates VOICE (prose generation) to /authors-voice and PUBLISH mechanics to the openwriter
Orchestration skill for book-scale long-form writing (fiction or nonfiction). Owns the SHAPE of a book project — chapter architecture, beats methodology, workspace management, book mode, scene/science split, vignette library, long-form orchestration. Delegates VOICE (prose genera
Channel-master writer for email newsletter. Weekly pipeline: scaffold structure, gather data, query the author, synthesize in their voice, review, send. Companion doc workflow. Voice-matched via the authors-voice skill. Works for any behind-the-scenes weekly newsletter built on p
OpenWriter — the writing surface for AI agents. A markdown-native rich text editor where agents write via MCP tools and users accept or reject changes in-browser. 40 core MCP tools for document editing, multi-doc workspaces, and organization, plus 21 publish platform tools for ne
Polish copy to 90/100. Channel the top 10 advertising practitioners in history. Score, rewrite, score again. Don't stop until 90%. Use when: "/polish", "polish this", "polish", "rewrite this", "improve this copy", "make this better", "score my copy"
Fourteen posts of being wrong in production, compressed to checkboxes
Healthy nodes, a quiet network, 300 restarts in three days, and a latency budget measured in milliseconds
Discovery worked. Ping worked. Every TCP connection timed out, and later the tunnel only worked when someone had a terminal open.
Every VM came back. The cluster did not. Declarative systems converge on config, and the datapath isn't config.
A surprising share of AI-in-the-terminal failures aren't the AI. They're zsh, and a version of bash from 2006.
A Claude Code plugin turns standalone project configuration into a namespaced, installable extension that teams and communities can update as one unit.
None of the safety came from the model. It came from six boring habits.
Skills package instructions and references. Subagents run work in a separate context and return results. They solve different problems and can be composed deliberately.
Six hours in, one step left, everything green, and the incident that didn't happen
CLAUDE.md carries persistent project context. Skills load reusable procedures when relevant. Separating stable facts from task-specific workflows keeps both easier to maintain.
Twenty minutes recovering secrets that never existed, and the one sentence from a human that ended it
An API request routing a model's tool call through an approval gate to a remote MCP server
31 config keys, two audits, and why the first one was wrong in both directions
The official MCP Registry stores standardized server metadata rather than package code. Publishers verify a namespace, describe installation or remote access, and submit immutable versions.
Everyone looks at the Dockerfile. The file that actually leaked the key was the project file.
Remote MCP authorization uses established OAuth standards, but secure integration still requires issuer validation, least-privilege scopes, protected token handling, and server-side enforcement.
"Copy it over and switch the reference" is two steps, and the outage lives in the one nobody checks
stdio fits local processes and prototypes. Streamable HTTP fits hosted services and shared integrations. The right choice follows where the capability runs and who must reach it.
The most important rule wasn't about what I could change. It was about what I was allowed to display.
Tools perform operations, resources expose readable context, and prompts provide reusable templates. Choosing the correct primitive makes an MCP server easier to understand and govern.
/checkpoint
Checkpoint
Periodic multi-reviewer sweep of the whole codebase — surfaces a triaged checkpoint report.
/chore
Chore
Sanctioned lane for non-behavioral work — docs-only edits, dependency bumps, reverts. Type-scaled gates; no TDD demanded of prose.
/cleanup
Cleanup

Commands
Show the codeArbiter command catalog — the public command list and what each routes to.

/conflict
Conflict
Stop everything and surface a rule conflict — persona vs. docs vs. code. Present both sides and the conflict-hierarchy level; the user resolves. No silent reconciliation.

/feature
Feature
Start a feature: brainstorm a spec, get it approved, then drive it test-first through the pipeline. The one entry to implementation.
/fix
Fix
Fix a confirmed bug: a failing regression test first, then a minimal fix, then the rest of the tdd gates.

Init
Opt this repo into codeArbiter — scaffold the root-level .codearbiter/ state store.

Metrics
Read-only 3-metric governance glance — override rate, small-lane rate, sprint low-confidence ratio — each with a trend arrow vs. the prior 20-commit window.

Preview
Zero-onboarding, read-only dry-run of the reviewer fleet against the current uncommitted diff. Predicts reviewers, runs the state-free secret scan, writes nothing.

Prune
Trim transcript clutter to extend session lifetime — analyze, prune a copy, or toggle the after-each-turn service. Dry-run by default; gains land at resume/compaction, not the current turn.
