It supports any LLM (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, DeepSeek, local via Ollama) and any retriever (Tavily, Bing, Google, DuckDuckGo, SearXNG). GPT Researcher is MIT licensed and free to use, with the only operating cost being the underlying LLM and search API providers. It can research local documents or run hybrid research combining documents with web sources in a single report.
