Central Bank Exchange Rate API serves official central bank exchange rates from 116 central banks including the US Federal Reserve, ECB, Bank of England, People's Bank of China, and Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL), with history back to 1999. The rates are the official published tables from central banks, suitable for tax, customs, audits, and compliant invoicing requirements. Each API response carries the bank's own publication date (rate_date), and any computed rate is explicitly flagged as derived.
