Pi Agent Desktop runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux. It is open-source and local-first, keeping all data on the user's computer. The app allows real-time viewing of the agent's thoughts, tool calls, context usage, costs, and compression state.
It supports managing models, Skills/Plugins, Git Worktree switching, and multiple file previews. Model keys and session data are stored locally with no cloud accounts or telemetry uploads. The software is licensed under the MIT License.
It includes a built-in Node.js runtime and requires no environment setup.
