Hermes-Relay extends your agent to your phone and nearby machines. Connections stay direct, local-first, and under your control. The Android app allows users to take conversations on the go, speak naturally, and manage their Hermes agent. The desktop CLI gives Hermes hands on the machine only when the user allows it, with explicit and local consent.
Hermes-Relay is open source, self-hosted, and does not rely on a cloud relay gateway; it works over LAN or direct connections. Device Control is a privileged feature that requires the Sideload app and a paired Relay plugin, and is not included in the Google Play build. For remote access, the recommended path is Tailscale for private remote access without exposing Relay to the public internet.
