ArcReel is an open-source, self-hostable AI video workspace for stories and short-form videos that runs on Linux, macOS, or WSL2 via Docker Compose. It automatically extracts characters, scenes, and props from a novel and generates consistent storyboards and videos. ArcReel supports 11 generative AI providers and over 100 pre-configured models for text, image, and video generation.
ArcReel maintains version history and allows one-click rollback with side-by-side comparison of different versions. It features an async task engine with rate limiting, independent channels for image and video, lease-based scheduling, and retry that only resends failed items. ArcReel offers three creation types: narration, drama, and advertisement, each with different content structuring.
