Vaara is a proxy that gates every agent tool call by allowing, blocking, or escalating it to a human. Every decision produces a signed, tamper-evident record. Vaara provides a hash-chained audit trail with optional Ed25519 or post-quantum ML-DSA-65 signatures, anchored to an RFC 3161 / eIDAS qualified timestamp.
Vaara is open-source under the AGPL-3.0 license. It integrates with LangChain, CrewAI, and the OpenAI Agents SDK via a transparent MCP proxy. Vaara has no SaaS, no telemetry, and requires no signup.
The verification tool can check any record offline without a signing key or access to the originating system.
