Soljo uses data from swisstopo, the federal solar roof map, PVGIS, and ElCom to estimate solar potential. Soljo calculates the sun position hour by hour for a typical day each month, taking into account shadows from surrounding buildings and trees. Soljo models energy flow including self-consumption, battery storage, and electric vehicle charging using standard profiles.
For economic calculation, Soljo uses the median cost curve from the 2025 price observation study by EnergieSchweiz/BFE. Soljo performs an offer check by reading prices, performance, modules, storage, guarantees, and positions from an offer and comparing them with measured values.
