Mastheads provides an MCP server for connecting AI agents to the newsroom. Users can connect ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or Codex to read publications, articles, and sources. The get_article_sources tool returns the sources, verdicts, and editor of record for an article.
Read-only keys cannot spend or publish, and permission is fixed when the key is made. The Growth plan and above allows 120 reads per minute per key. The MCP server uses the same account allowance as the dashboard, so no extra cost.
