The MCP server allows AI assistants to review EnvelopeBudget budget data. Connections are read-only by default, with an optional write permission for categorization. Authentication requires a dedicated API key configured as a static Bearer credential.
The optional ai-categorization:write permission allows an agent to start categorization jobs and approve or reject suggestions. Amounts are represented in integer milliunits, where 1000 milliunits equal one currency unit. Transaction memo text is omitted by default to protect private details.
