The Java SDK enables standardized integration between AI models and tools. The SDK includes both MCP Client and MCP Server implementations. Default transports are included in the core mcp module and require no external web frameworks.
The SDK supports both synchronous and asynchronous programming paradigms. JSON serialization is pluggable, supporting Jackson 2.x and Jackson 3.x. Optional Spring-based transports are available in Spring AI 2.0+ and are no longer part of this SDK.
The SDK provides DNS rebinding protection with Host/Origin header validation.
