Do NOT use for ingesting a single\npasted conversation, or for any material the user has not explicitly asked to\nbring into the vault.</h2>\n<h1>Import chat history</h1>\n<p>Chat history is the most underrated source a person owns and the most sensitive.\nIt records their reasoning, not just facts, and it also records things they would\nnot want in a file that gets synced, committed and backed up.</p>\n<h2>Core rule</h2>\n<p>Privacy pass before triage, triage before ingestion. Never ingest an export\nwholesale.</p>\n<h2>Workflow</h2>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Convert</strong> with <code>scripts/chat_export_to_md.py</code> into one file per\nconversation, filtering out short exchanges.</li>\n<li><strong>Privacy pass.</strong> List conversations touching health, money, other people's\nprivate information, or confidential work. The user decides; you delete\nnothing on your own.</li>\n<li><strong>Triage the rest</strong> into three piles: worth ingesting (they worked something\nout, decided something, or got an explanation that landed), worth archiving\nin <code>raw/</code>, and delete.</li>\n<li><strong>Report the lists.</strong> Move nothing yet.</li>\n<li><strong>On approval, ingest</strong> the first pile, with the instruction that these are\nthe user's own thinking: build pages around what they were working out and\nwhat they concluded, not around the assistant's explanations.</li>\n</ol>\n<h2>Output format</h2>\n<pre><code>Converted: &lt;n&gt; conversations (&lt;n&gt; skipped as too short)\n\nPrivacy review needed: &lt;n&gt;\n  &lt;title&gt; - &lt;why&gt;\n\nWorth ingesting: &lt;n&gt;\n  &lt;title&gt; - &lt;what it worked out&gt;\n\nArchive only: &lt;n&gt;\nDelete suggested: &lt;n&gt;\n</code></pre>\n<h2>Calibration</h2>\n<p>Expect roughly nine in ten conversations to be throwaway lookups. A triage that\nrecommends ingesting most of the export has not filtered.</p>\n<p>Record dates on every page.
