Include complete endpoints and fades;\nrecheck crop bounds after geometry changes. Crop selected units, city/town\nstacks, flags/poles,\nshadows, selection rings, labels/icons, roads, terrain features, water, and\nany artifact-prone area. If the complaint is about \"too faint\", \"wrong\norder\", or \"not in perspective\", the crop is mandatory.
\n
Spawn one fresh explorer with
fork_context: false
; pass only the full\nimages, the crops, and a short neutral task. Include the approved reference\nand user requirements when judging fidelity; withhold history, implementation\ndetails, prior verdicts and the expected answer.
\n
Ask for concrete visible defects with confidence levels. Name likely risk\ncategories: unit/prop depth ordering, layering, shadows, selection-marker\ncontrast, ground-plane perspective, flag/pole attachment, label style and\nicon readability, blur, scale, lighting, artifacts, missing models, terrain\nfeature readability, roads, water, and overall scan readability.
\n
Run the returned critique through
scripts/receipts.mjs
. Every number it\nflags is a claim the critique cannot show a command for, and every file it\nflags is one the critique named but never wrote; strike those claims or\nre-measure them yourself before any of them reach a decision.
\n
Compare the sub-agent's critique against your own inspection. Treat overlap\nas high-priority evidence. Treat novel high-confidence findings as bugs to\ninspect, not as taste notes to dismiss.
\n
Record actionable findings in the spec, visual report, or next task plan\nbefore claiming the screenshot is accepted.
\n
\n
Sub-Agent Prompt
\n
Use this shape, replacing the bracketed surface and attaching local images:
\n

Fresh visual critique task. You have no project backstory and should only\ninspect the supplied screenshots and crops. First inspect the full screenshot\nfor context, then inspect each crop at zoomed scale. Look for concrete\nvisual/layout defects in [surface], especially unit/prop depth ordering,\nlayering, shadows, selection-marker contrast, ground-plane perspective,\nflag/pole attachment, label style/icons, blur, scale, lighting, artifacts,\nmissing models, terrain feature readability, roads, water, and scan\nreadability. Do not assume these are correct. Return a concise list of issues\nyou can see, with confidence and whether the issue is visible in the full image,\nthe crop, or both.\n\nDescribe what you see in words. You are looking at these images, not measuring\nthem, so state no pixel value, luminance, percentage, ratio, count, or offset\nunless you ran a command that produced it and you quote that command and its\noutput beside the number. \"The hem reads clearly darker than the floor beside\nit\" is a finding; \"44.0 versus 33.6\" without a receipt is a fabrication. The\nsame goes for files: name no artifact you did not create with a tool you\nactually have.\n

\n
Spawn config:
\n
\n

agent_type
:
explorer

\n

fork_context
:
false

\n
attach screenshots as
local_image
items
\n
omit model overrides unless the user explicitly requests one
\n
grant a measurement tool whenever you want numbers back — see Receipts
\n
\n
Receipts
\n
A number in a critique is a receipt or a guess, and the two are\nindistinguishable once they are written down. An agent handed images and asked\nfor defects will answer in whatever register the question was posed in: ask it\nhow much darker the hem is and it returns a luminance mean, because that is\nwhat the answer is shaped like — not because it measured anything. Sometimes\nthe estimate lands close and sometimes it inverts the finding; nothing in the\nreport tells you which, and it reads as the strongest evidence there precisely\nbecause it is numeric. The same reflex names the crops and dumps it says it\nwrote.
\n
\n
Match the tool surface to the output contract. Before spawning, read your\nown prompt and ask which tool produces each claim you demanded. A judge with\nimages and no shell can report what it sees and nothing else. If you want\nmeasurements, grant the tool that measures and name it in the prompt;\notherwise stop asking for them.
\n
A number without its command is not a finding. Every quantity must arrive\nwith the command that produced it and that command's output, close enough to\nread together. Findings that fail this are struck, not discounted.
\n
Verify, don't trust the eye of the verifier. Run
scripts/receipts.mjs
\nover the returned report —
node scripts/receipts.mjs <report.md>
— before\nyou read the findings, so an unsupported number never gets to be persuasive\nfirst. It exits nonzero and prints each unbacked quantity and each file the\nreport named but never wrote.
scripts/receipts.eval.mjs
is its own eval,\nover reports written in the eval whose right answer is known by construction,\nboth directions pinned: run it after changing the checker, and never widen\nwhat counts as a receipt to make a failing case pass.
\n
Know which half of it is proof. The file check is proof: the path is\nresolved on disk and a stated sha256 is recomputed, so an invented crop dies\nthere. The number check is attribution, not execution — it asks whether a\ncommand is shown running with this number in its output, and a report that\ninvents the whole transcript passes. Nothing readable from static text can\nseparate an invented transcript from a real one. So a clean run means the\nclaims are attributable and the files are real, not that anything ran; ask\nfor the artifact and the hash when a number has to hold weight.
\n
Ordinal words are still findings; numbers are not. \"Clearly darker\",\n\"roughly a third of the panel\", \"the left edge is cut off\" are what an eye can\nhonestly report. Push the critique toward that register rather than trying to\nmake its arithmetic more careful.
\n
The measured pass is a separate run. When the words justify numbers, take\nthe measurement yourself with
compare-screenshots
, or re-run the critic with\na shell and this same receipt rule. Never repair a report by asking its author\nto double-check its own figures.
\n
\n
Rules
\n
\n
Mandatory before \"fixed\": never declare a user-reported visual bug fixed\non your own inspection — your eyes are primed by the fix you just made. Run\nthe unprimed critique on the candidate shot first; \"mild residue\" you are\ntempted to wave through is exactly what it exists to catch. (Recorded\nfailure: a \"fixed\" sky that an unprimed agent identified as the terrain\nmesh's underside filling the entire sky region.)
\n
Reproduce the reporter's framing. When the user supplied a screenshot,\nthe critique must include a capture at that framing (same camera/zoom/spot,\nor as close as reproducible) — a defect that lives at their framing can be\ninvisible at yours. Your chosen probe framing is a supplement, never the\nsubstitute.
\n
Prove the change is real before critiquing it. Byte/pixel-diff the\ncandidate against the pre-change baseline first: a critique of an unchanged\nimage \"verifies\" a no-op. (Recorded failure: a palette pass that never\nreached the production render path — before/after were byte-identical and\nonly the diff caught it.)
\n
Hand over the complete capture set, never a curated one. Every state you\ncaptured, every viewport, desktop and mobile. Choosing which shots to show is\nthe same bias the fresh pass exists to remove: you will pick the ones you\nalready believe are fine, and the weak state is exactly the one that gets\nleft out. If a state is hard to reach by hand, drive it deterministically and\ncapture it rather than omitting it.
\n
When no sub-agent is available, argue the other side yourself. For each\nfeature under judgment, write one sentence making the strongest case that it\nis broken, citing only what is visible in the shot — then decide. Writing the\ncase first is what makes it adversarial; deciding first and justifying after\nis the primed inspection this skill exists to replace. Include those\nsentences in the report so the reasoning is reviewable.
\n
Never tell the sub-agent the defect you expect it to find.
\n
Use the current candidate screenshot, not a stale report or baseline image.
\n
Do not rely on full-page report scale for small visual features. Attach\ncrops around the exact features a player would read: selected army/city,\nlabel/icon clusters, flags, shadows, ring edges, road crossings, terrain\nfeature patches, water labels, and suspicious debug/artifact regions.
\n
If the sub-agent says a crop reveals an issue that is weak or invisible in\nthe full shot, treat it as a real usability defect when the player can zoom\nto that scale in-game.
\n
For animation, attach a short set of deterministic still frames first; GIFs\nare useful for human review, but still frames make specific defects easier to\nname.
\n
A passing headline does not erase a reported small mismatch or uncertainty.\nResolve it using Reference Landmarks;\na second opinion does not replace direct inspection or regression gates.
\n
If the sub-agent catches an issue the main agent missed, add that failure mode\nto the relevant feature plan or visual checklist immediately.
\n
\n","files":[{"path":"scripts/receipts.eval.mjs","sizeBytes":20874,"isText":false},{"path":"scripts/receipts.mjs","sizeBytes":18680,"isText":false},{"path":"SKILL.md","sizeBytes":10096,"isText":true}],"reviewScore":null,"reviewSummary":null,"trust":{"provenance":"trusted-source-unreviewed","notice":"Community-authored content, reproduced verbatim and not vetted as instructions.
